NEW: Deeper Roots In-House Baking
We are excited to announce that we have added an in-house bakery to our West End neighborhood roasting facility, and esteemed pastry chef, Megan Ketover, has joined the team to create phenomenal pastries and baked goods for Deeper Roots coffee bars and Daylily deli.
A cappuccino and a croissant go hand in hand and we’ve always sought to stock our bakery cases with goods that reflect our vision of how beautiful the coffee experience can be. And now with our own bakery, we can make that dream come true every day.
The addition of Ketover catalyzed the new baking program. Prior to joining Deeper Roots, Megan led teams in pastry kitchens including Orchids at Palm Court, the Netherland Plaza, Boca Restaurant Group, and Khora. Enjoying the challenge of competition, Megan has competed on a national level on the Food Network’s Challenge, Bravo’s Top Chef: Just Desserts, and was awarded the American Culinary Federation’s Pastry Chef of the Year for the Northeast Region.

Her intentionality shines through sourcing local, seasonal, specialty ingredients to craft extraordinary creations consistent with the environments where Deeper Roots Coffee is enjoyed throughout the city. A delightful bite is the perfect complement to your favorite coffee.
Among the new offerings:
Classic croissants, pan au chocolat and seasonal fruit and cream cheese danish using butter from both France and New Zealand for distinct processes and flavors.
Pocket Cakes: moist and travel-ready mini loaves and muffins, such as coffee cake with cinnamon crumble, banana bread with brown butter strussel and chocolate zucchini walnut muffins.
Savory specialties: currently the cheddar herb scone, ham and cheese croissant and goat cheese and cherry tomato danish.
