Facilities Manager
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The purpose of the Facilities Technician is to improve the brand representation of
Deeper Roots in our spaces and take care of the physical needs that arise. We are
looking for a Facilities Technician to oversee all building related activities. This
position will be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and
ensure that facilities are safe and well-functioning.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee building and grounds maintenance and improvements for roasterie and related retail shops
Ensure security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly.
Ensure that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures
Manage and reviews service contracts along with ownership
Conducts and document regular facilities inspections
Check completed work by vendors and contractors
Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.
Partner with ownership to forecast and allocate the financial and physical resources of the facility management
Light retail coffee equipment PM work
Fleet management
Assist in space development and contractor relations
Operate and maintain custodial functions
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of basic excel and computer functions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Good analytical/critical thinking
Flexible schedule, often work needs completed after retail shops are closed
No aversion to keeping contractors accountable
Basic building/contractor skills- woodworking, general space improvement, plumbing, electric
Valid driver’s license and means of personal transportation
Eager to learn and self sufficient
SCHEDULE/HOURS:
30-40hrs, schedule can vary as needed to complete needed projects
*availability to work after retail hours a must, ability to work weekends as needed
Salary:
$22-26/hr based on experience
